On Revolution, Part 2

How often do other people feel worthless?

Every time I turn on my computer and can’t remember my password or it’s stuck on a loading screen because my signal isn’t strong enough, those 5-15 minutes remind me that other people built nations in their lifetimes…

I’m 38 years old and still trying to figure out how to function alongside my computer, every day, in a continually failing enterprise to use it effectively. In reality, it is using me. And I’ve somewhat relegated myself to that fact.

Then again, men who lead nations - I found out - have other men to function as their computers.

I heard Vladimir Putin has never owned a cell phone.

I also heard he’s pretty disconnected from others (HEYOOOOO!!)_____

How disconnected do you truly have to be to stage (allegedly) a terror attack on your own people and then sanction - or possibly order yourself - the indescriminate killing and bombing of Chechnyans ( ) at scale, weapons that immediately remove all air from your lungs and collapse them while burning them at the same time to drive approval ratings as a “strong leader”.

I’d rather struggle logging onto my computer.

At least less people die that way, other than the wage and actual slave labor that produced it (which I don’t know how many died in that effort, but seems at least a better scenario of the two).

Still worse by far, and comparing any of these scenarios rendered utterly irrelevant, are these monumental men actively chasing to drive billions of us into more heat waves, more mud slides, more earthquakes, and 100’s of millions of new desperate migrants and no plan to deal with them - true known refugees in need of help, just like Jesus would do - for the greater satisfaction of their own personal interests and their friends…or maybe even just for pure glee in power to impact things, or delusional knowledge of better initiatives than not destroying humanity’s future on the planet.

Fuck world leaders.

They don’t know shit

or are too slow

too worried about politics.

They have to though.

Where else will the go when the tsunamis come and the people are at their gates coming for real answers and actual firebrand torches for which their uses depend on the answers that are received in the next 5 seconds____

while also understanding that by then it will be too late.

The poorest of us will already be forsaken, and whatever means and methods they choose in that moment will be hard-pressed to deem as immoral by good-natured people, because what is good or necessary will be judged in an entirely alien environment.

By then new leaders will have taken the helm and promised order taken from the chaos and, like always, will crush multitudes of regular people because it’s easier than dealing with any real problem.

Dealing with real problems takes time, takes patience, takes critical thinking, takes honesty in questioning one’s own motives and how they impact the results, and takes an openness to feedback from other perspectives and backgrounds.

In other words, any real problem relies on democracy to actually solve it.

This is at least fundamentally obvious if taken from the perspective of what’s best for people.

If taken from the perspective of one particular item, initiative, subset of people (however that is defined is arbitrary) or interest may make other means that seem more attractive or efficient - but only if taken for a limited amount of time for evaluation and if the actual methods and results are ignored.

I think it goes without saying that authoritarianism, fascism, and demagogic allegiance in governance

DO

NOT

WORK!!!!

Luckily, we have easily attainable cultural parlance in reference to the Nazis and Stalinism and Maoism, if not Pol Pot, to come together on.

But an immediate problem arises when asking any one person to define these terms, when and to whom they apply, and what to do to prevent them.

We are uneducated, and in utter civic and intellectual poverty

perverted with attentional and emotional delusion.

Where that comes from, though, is something rock solid in psychic and practical truth for all but the most privileged and well-connected among us…

And that is that

the powerful people and institutions have abandoned us, and many of us have been tricked into backing their perniciously intractable coup d'état of our expected way of life

and all our children’s opportunities to choose what will happen to them and those after, even to the point of voluntary death for some.

We are in a very real predicament of using the last vestiges of mass movements and labor to confront the powerful, with the full weight of the the military-industrial complex behind it, to force it to give up its influence in our courts and in legislative bodies both federally and locally, in order for people to choose what is important to them - rather than the propagandizing of special corporate and industry interests of media ad lobbyists and candidates to confuse

to rattle

to turn off

to royally piss off

so many people

so as to vote for horrible outcomes

of give up altogether.

But if we give up or turn away,

even as horrible

and bleak

and calamitously impossible

as it may seem

and we may fall into

despite all our efforts,

we allow the worst we have available to continue this onslaught without our slightest involvement.

We must be able to allow ourselves to see clearly,

and to not be corrupted into thinking that

we don’t matter,

that it can’t be done,

and that fucking over our brother and our sister

is somehow better for us.

The government is there to provide for US!!!!

So let’s make them DO THAT!!!!

Destroying our entire administrative infrastructure is so cynically stupid as to almost defy explanation.

Anyone who even tries to speak to me about the uselessness of all government I will just respond with blank starts and aske them to move to Haiti or the Galapagos Islands just to see if they’re willing to do anything other than waste other people’s time with mouth masturbation.

None of us will get out of this easily.

Ignoring it

or selecting those with macabre or overrarching swathes

of system cleaning or claims of bipartisan objectivity

is to be shocked when

the actual impacts come to your front door.

These are NOT the times in which anyone can be in touch with what’s going on without knowing that all our choices have revolutionary consequences.

When in historical turning points there are no safe choices.

Whatever happens to our grandchildren, it will be an inherent effect of what we are either willing to do or willing to give up now.

Not willing to do anything or to face the full weight of the problem is

to give up everything.

And when our grandchildren come to us when we are old, all we’ll be able to say is

“I didn’t know” or “I was too busy” or

“everybody sucks. They’re all bought off and don’t work for us.”

and it will be left up to them to pick of the pieces of whatever happens to them,

in whatever way they will have to do it.

What will you tell them?

Is it ok with you to not know what they will ask of you after you are too old to have time left to do anything yourself? Then you’ll only have your thoughts and the record of what you’ve already done BEHIND you.

In front of you will be death and those who remember you,

and how you made them feel…

and what you compelled in them to do,

and who they wanted to be.

Remember,

actions speak louder than words.

Good luck to you.

Nothing is pre-ordained,

and the right thing to do

may have no other supporters

that you can see,

other than

you.

But you still have to do it,

because to do otherwise is unbearable.

To do otherwise would invite

a world which is negotiable to human needs,

human embodiment.

We all know murder is WRONG.

What about destroying our future???

Murdering humanity’s future is taking away someone’s choice to even be able to be born,

or even to be able to live,

in a manner which we would expect now to be worthy of a joyful life.

We CANNOT float through life

blind and asleep

and think that no harm will come of it.

You DO have a large effect

when you do NOTHING.

Doing nothing impacts everything

and everybody,

but you don’t get to choose how and who.

Other people you don’t know do get to choose when you don’t.

So choose what and who you effect,

and how you want to be remembered

as if you were no longer here.

Those are the only two choices, really.

Make yours.

So somebody else can’t do it for you,

As if you were never here

to make yourself heard

by eternity.

Good luck to all of you, in all your wondrous glory.

None of us can truly do it without you. If we all our trying only on our own, we will fail.
